Iratxe is originally from San Sebastian, Spain where she attended the Conservatorio Superior de Musica before graduating from the John Cranko Schule Stuttgart, Germany. She danced with Basel Ballet and Ballet Gulbelkian before joining Nacho Duato’s Compañia Nacional de Danza in Madrid, Spain.
She later joined the Lyon Opera Ballet before becoming a member of Nederlands Dance Theatre under the direction of Anders Hellstrom.
In 2020 she was awarded the National Dance Prize (Spain)
She has worked with choreographers such as Nacho Duato, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Jacopo Godani, Johan Inger, Medhi Walerski, Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, Wayne McGregor, Alexander Ekman, to name a few.
Iratxe won prizes and mentions in choreographic competitions such as the International Solo Tanz Theater Festival, Certamen Coreografico de Madrid and was awarded for her artistic trajectory by the Association of Dance Professionals (Spain) in 2007.
Since 2009 after leaving NDT she became a freelance artist, she has danced, choreographed and taught all around the world.
Igor Bacovich is an Italian dancer, choreographer and teacher.
Igor studied at “Accademia Nazionale di danza” (IT) and got his degree in CODARTS (NL).
In the Netherlands he worked with several choreographers such as Bruno Listopad, Krisztina de Chatel, Nanine Linning among others.
From 2008 to 2014 he worked in the social field in the Netherlands and Spain.
Since 2014 Iratxe together with Igor Bacovich founded "i+i". The duo has collaborated on a variety of projectS since several years, choreographing, dancing, teaching, organising events and producing shows.
Iratxe and Igor have developed their own dancing method called "Metamorphosis Method" and are founders and organisers of the METAMORPHOSIS DANCE company.
